Comic Con

Published by supersearnold at 2:02 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Hey everyone - sorry I’ve been away for so long.  I went down to Comic Con and was having a bit of difficulty coming back to the real world.  But here I am.  Back with news of all the wonderful things this world has to offer.  And let me tell you - most of them are at Comic Con.  I don’t know who reads this blog.  I’m kind of surprised that anyone would.  But I must assume that since most of my posts are comic book related that most of you have at least a passing fancy about comic books.  And thusly Comic Con is the greatest place in the world.  There are plethoras of industry professionals about just meandering around the place.  And you can go up to them and meet them.  Lots of fun.  There are panels galore about all the latest and greatest upcoming comic book… things.  Information for grabing right at your finger tips.

Only… one thing… one problem that I have with the con.  It’s too big.  There are far too many people.  And many of them are not there for comic books.  They’re there for movies and television and autographs for people who are generally related to sci-fi/ fantasy/ supernatural “genre” stuff.  Not even directly comic book related.  And while all of that is great and fun in its own accord - it’s not comic book related.  And while I enjoy the fact that Comic Con is increasing in popularity - theoretically thus increasing the popularity of comic books - the people who are there NOT for comic books honestly just get in the way.  I’d love to have it split into two cons.  One for television and movies and what not.  One for comic books.  JUST comic books.  To make it easier for us comic book people to mingle.  That is my official analysis of the con.

Thanks for reading. See you next time.
